Apex Legends leaks reveal Octane Heirloom and new Gibraltar skin

The latest set of Apex Legends leaks have revealed first looks at upcoming items starting from a brand new Heirloom for Octane to a fresh Gibraltar skin.

Respawn Entertainment has been releasing a gentle flow of content for its popular battle royale title lately, in large part because of the launch of Season 4 and therefore the recent revival of original map King’s Canyon.

The fresh additions don’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon, however, as latest leaks have uncovered a slew of cosmetic content set to release within the near future, including new skins and a fresh Heirloom item.

Prominent Apex Legends community member and data-miner ‘iLootGames’ has grown a reputation for early leaks after accurately revealing a large array of content before schedule throughout the game’s lifespan.

The latest set of leaks focuses on new cosmetic items that are on the way for both Gibraltar and Octane. The former is that the recipient of a curious skin that completely overhauls the visual appearance of the defensive Legend.

Rather than simply changing his color scheme or outfitting the character with a rather altered getup, the leaked skin shaves Gibraltar’s head and appears to offer him a replacement pair of contacts as well as a facial tattoo.

The vibrant skin features a black base with yellow and blue flare throughout because the Legend’s ordinary armor has been traded out for a more metallic, mech-based design.

Additionally, the new leaks shed light on an upcoming Heirloom for Octane. While only four Heirloom sets are currently available within the battle royale title, a fifth could well and truly get on the way together a piece of a replacement set has slipped through the cracks.

For people who are lucky enough to unlock the new item, Octane will drop into battle with a pointy blade because of the leaked melee weapon skin.

The personalized weapon comes imbued with a seeming dose of Octane’s adrenaline-pumping stim mixture also, which might be the cherry on top of a close-ranged melee beatdown.

A look at Octane’s potential Apex Legends Heirloom

Although this is often a leak, it seems pretty airtight that Octane will receive an Heirloom Set. All of the files point to the present, and now we even have a rendered image of what the melee weapon could appear as if.

Every Heirloom Set comes complete with a melee weapon, voice line, and character banner. While we don’t have access to voice line or banner, data-miner @iLootGames has an image of the melee weapon for us.

For anyone unaware, the image above is that of a butterfly knife. This type of knife has two ends that form the handle once opened up. Inside of those ends is the knife itself. In other video games, like CSGO, the butterfly knife performs some pretty cool animations.

Whether those same animations will come to Apex Legends is unknown. However, as with all of the other Heirlooms, the butterfly knife will have some kind of animation. We’re just not sure what that will be yet.

As previously mentioned, fans should expect Octane’s Heirloom Set to launch sometime within the next month approximately. The release of an Heirloom usually revolves around an in-game event, so we should always get on the lookout for that also.
